Description

San-Lee Park is a 177 acre park, that offers hiking trails, a mountain bike trail, a Nature Center, playground, picnic facilities, campgrounds and two stocked lakes for fishing. <br />
Approximately 4 miles of hiking trails offer a true nature experience at San-Lee Park. The trails wind along the two lakes and through the woods, offering great fishing spots, access to an array of wildflowers, and many great views. The Nature Trails are open year round during park operational hours at no cost.<br />
There are also extensive mountain bike trails here as well.

Directions

From Greensboro, take 421 S. to Sanford. From Raleigh take US 1 to 421 S. From intersection of US 1 and 421, take 421 S 1.2 miles into town. Go left onto Carthage St. (turns into Charlotte St.). Go about 1.4 miles - veer right at BP station onto San Lee Dr. Go 2.0 miles and turn right onto Pumping Station road. Go 0.6 miles - entrance to San Lee Park on the right. Take left fork at park up the hill to parking area. Ride starts on the gravel road at the edge of the parking lot. Go on gravel road, take the right fork and you will see a sign for the trails, along with a sign-in sheet.
